​​​Mindfulness and Postnatal Wellbeing Group
This Group is designed to support Mums to take a minute for themselves to learn and practice mindfulness and relaxation practices (including kindness and self-compassion meditations). Being a busy mum and putting the needs of others before your own often leaves no time for your own self care. Neglecting oneself over time leads to higher stress, anxiety and low mood, making it harder to parent and to connect with our children in the way we would like. This group aims to make space for Mums to learn mindfulness practice and to have the chance to meet and connect with other Mums.
This group is aimed at mothers ​with infants under 2 years of age and who are experiencing postnatal stress and/or anxiety of a non-acute nature. This will be a closed group meaning participants will always be meeting with the same people each week to ensure each Mum feels comfortable and safe. This group will be 6 sessions (1 session per week for 1.5 hrs) and will need a minimum number of participants to go ahead. ​​

Coping with Postnatal Depression, Anxiety and Birth Trauma
This is a psychoeducational and therapeutic group for the treatment of postnatal depression, anxiety and birth trauma. This group is designed to provide Mums with therapeutic cognitive-based interventions and skills based strategies to assist in improving mood, reducing anxiety and to overcome the negative effects of a traumatic birth experience. This group aims to normalise participants experiences and to hold a non-judgemental space for Mums to feel safe to discuss all the challenges adjusting to parenting. This group aims to help Mums discuss and move through distress and other negative emotions to reduce isolation, improve communication with others including partners and to promote connection with their infant(s) and their tribe. This group will aim to also explore expectations (realistic or unrealistic) and form a support group that will be able to continue after the course has completed.​

* It is highly recommended that participants consider or engage in Individual Therapy alongside participation in this group as the nature of this group may evoke challenging emotions and bring up difficult or perhaps intrusive memories. Individual therapy (in addition to this group) is highly recommended as it will provide a private and supportive environment to allow you to communicate openly about any discomfort, help you to process negative experiences effectively and will ensure faster healing and recovery.
