Welcome to Cope Ahead Psychology
It takes guts to sit across from a complete stranger and open up to them about the things you fear the most in this world. From the very first session to our last, I want to ensure that you feel comfortable, secure and in charge of your emotional wellbeing without fear of any judgement or bias. My aim is to restore your sense of safety and increase your confidence, to build you up and empower you to connect with others in your life, and to get what you want most in life.
I have over 17 years of experience as a psychologist, and counting... I have worked in almost every setting you can think of. I consider myself extremely lucky to have worked with so many inspiring and courageous individuals over the years that have allowed me to be involved in their life's journey. Whatever life stage you may find yourself at the moment, I would like to support you, your baby, and your tribe to thrive, and to strengthen the very bonds and connections that keep us all going. Together, we can figure out how to resolve challenges and Cope Ahead!

Our Ethos
Research suggests that mental rehearsal of skilful behaviours can lead to tangible improvements in coping and emotional regulation. By engaging in coping ahead, individuals can increase their ability to respond effectively to emotionally provocative situations, and also increase the likelihood of applying skilful behaviours automatically.
The name Cope Ahead Psychology is inspired by the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skill - Cope Ahead. It is essentially thinking ahead of ways to cope. Considering how to be prepared in some way to help reduce stress ahead of time. Envisioning yourself succeeding and rehearsing healthy strategies to manage challenges in advance. Cope Ahead offers a proactive and empowering approach to emotional preparedness. Through its practice, it can have a transformative impact on your emotional well-being and overall resilience.
And this is precisely the essence of Cope Ahead Psychology!
